Information and Update

CRICKET

1st XI played their last traditional game for the season against St Patrick’s College in Wellington. Sunday was a wash-out due to rain. On Monday, play got underway at 10.15am and went through until 7.00pm with both sides batting. Matt Munro took 5 wickets for 41 runs which makes a five bag wicket in all three traditional games – well done Matt.

Play on Tuesday started at 9.30am with stumps being drawn at 5.00pm resulting in a draw and St Bede’s College retaining the Dry Family Trophy.

Our Colts team played under the same conditions scoring 140 in their first innings, then St Pat’s made 357 for 7 declared at lunch on the last day. Our boys put up a great battle staying in to draw the game.

Well done to both teams in very extreme weather conditions!
