Whilst the 2022/23 Rowing season has started, we are still looking for students who would be interested in giving rowing a go. We have a bit of flexibility around start times so if your son is interested get in touch and we can see how we could accommodate them.

At this stage the squad have had a day camp at our base at Stewarts Gully in the second week of the holidays which focused on basic technique. From there a balance between building fitness and skills on the water have been the main goal.

Last weekend the squad headed down to the Avon for a Pennant Regatta which gave most crews their first experience of the season against an opposition. We will use this experience to form some goals for the Otago Champs on the weekend of Dec 10-11.

After the Otago Champs we will have a few weeks break before a week long training camp on Lake Dunstan between 8 -13 January. This provides significant gains before we compete at the Canterbury Champs in Twizel at the conclusion of that week. Finally just before school returns for 2023 we will head to Twizel again for the South Island Championships.
