The PTA are fundraising for a new College Van.  Details of the initiative, funding options, etc can be found throughout the article.

Dear Parent, Friend, Business Owner

Like all PTA’s we are a group of parents who want the best for ‘our’ children – not just our own child but all of the children at the school.

When looking at where to direct our fund raising we look at four main criteria;

  • Will it assist a majority of all the boys?

  • Will it add quality to St. Bede’s College as a whole?

  • Can it benefit future enrolments of boys who attend the school?

  • Is it necessary to be funded by the parents & private business?

An area that has drawn our attention is the desperate need for a school van (the last one failed its WOF and was found un-road worthy after being well used for over 15 Years). A van meets all of our criteria and would be used across the board to help with outings for Arts, Sports, Learning Support & Special Character.

We are asking for support from local businesses in two ways;

  1. Sponsorship: this van will not only be seen all over Christchurch but throughout the South Island e.g. debating in Dunedin, Canteen Run from Cromwell, rugby in Nelson. We are offering multiple levels of sponsorship on the van.

  2. Donation of product: In order to raise the funds for the van we will be doing the time-honoured raffles and silent auctions. If you have any items or vouchers for a service, big or small we would be most thankful. (These can be dropped off at the school office for the attention of the PTA.) In return for your support we will work with you to publicise your business to our school contacts of over 900 and at our PTA fundraising events.
