Property Update

You may have noticed the hive of activity on the QEII Corner of the College. The Christchurch City Council is undertaking a renaturalisation of Kruses Drain (a.k.a. “The Dirty Mary”) which runs through the College grounds.

Contractors GSL began work in earnest on 31 May with a projected completion date of 29 July. 

Works will include altering the current flow to replicate a meandering stream with tapered banks and complimented with native plantings. Some 20 odd eels were fished from the stream prior to the start of work and these will be returned at project’s end.
