  • St Patrick’s College Silverstream Exchange.
Three teams travelled to Wellington on Tuesday for our annual exchange.
Football our Under 17A team competed in the exchange this year as our 1st XI had to play Christ College for points to qualify for the Nationals and Christ College would not defer the game.
Our Under 17 team played very well and were not at all daunted by playing Silverstream’ s 1st XI they played a well organised game and were down 0 – 2 but still fought hard which paid off when we scored a goal but Silverstream came back and scored again making the score 1 -  3 at half time.   Heads were still up and they played a great second half to a nil all draw as this was a lot of players first experience at playing a school exchange I am sure they learnt a lot and will take that forward for future exchanges.
Rugby 1st XV played very well for 50 minutes with the score being locked 7 – 7 for that time.  But unfortunately go shown up allowing three tries under the post and the score blew out to a 7 – 33 loss which was very disappointing considering we won every line out and had a good kicking game.
Debating was keenly contested as to if you should become a Donor or should not become a donor, we put a very good debate but only to lose narrowly for the second year in a row.
