Cross Country New Zealand Championships

It was a tough day for our runners at the Nationals last Saturday, Andres Hernandez was placed 18th in the Junior Boys, Tom Moulai was placed 18th, Nick Moulai placed 25th, Cameron Bartlett was 32nd,  with Connor High coming in 53rd out of 218 runners in the Senior Boys.  These placing allowed St Bede's College to take out 5th place overall which was a good effort at the Nationals.

On Sunday, Andres was part of the Canterbury Junior Boys team who finished 2nd overall.  Tom and Nick Moulai were members of the Canterbury Senior Boys team who finished 1st overall which was a great effort.

 

National Volunteer Week

This week the country has celebrated National Volunteer Week and I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the many many volunteers’ we have here helping at St Bede's College not only in sport but all aspects of the College.  We as a College could not offer such a wide range of activities for the students without your help and this help is very much valued by all here at the College. 

I would just like to say "A BIG BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS".

 

Basketball

Tom Hughes has been called up to the Canterbury U17 team for the National Tournament in Auckland in July. Tom has impressed the coaches with his hard training efforts and this has been rewarded with a place in the team.

Caleb Conyers has been named in the Canterbury U17 Mainland team which will play in the South Island tournament in Westport.

Pita Pit Team of the Week 

Rugby 1st XV will play the game of the season this weekend when they play Christchurch Boys’ High School at St Bede's College this Saturday at 2.45pm.
