News for this Week

Pro-Cathedral lunchtime concert

The concert given by members of the Senior Choir on Wednesday was a big success and well received by the lunchtime audience at the Pro-Cathedral.

As well as items by the choir, solo songs and instrumental items were provided by Norbert Muller and Jonothan Boyle (Year 11), Patrick James (Year 12) and Maui Brennan and Connor McSweeney (Year 13)

Additional honours pocket

Congratulations to Ollie Flett (Year 12) who received an honours pocket in Drama last week and whose name was inadvertently left off the list.

Big Sing

A big week for the Senior Choir was capped off with their performance in the Big Sing choir competition yesterday. Months of dedicated practice has seen the group reach a higher standard than in previous years under the leadership of Ms Helen Charlton and choir leader Maui Brennan.

For their three items the choir performed The Pasture (Randall Thompson), March of the Heavy Ginghams (Cheryl Camm) and There is nothin’ like a dame (Learner & Loewe).  The choir also took part in the gala concert last evening and received a very enthusiastic response.
