Get a taste of university life with Hands-On at Otago

Experience a week of the Otago student life over the summer holidays

Choose your favourite subject from many topics and get hands-on in a university department. You will interact with our researchers and learn about their discoveries.

Hands-On at Otago 2021 will run from 10-15 January and is open to all students who are in Year 12 or 13 in 2021.

The University of Canterbury invites all future students and their whānau to the 2020 Rā Tōmene | Open Day. Rā Tōmene is your chance to explore our campus and learn about how we help our students become graduates who are prepared to make a difference.

What happens on the day

Open Day is an opportunity to find out everything you and your whānau want to know about UC.

  • Attend information sessions to find out about our world-class degrees.
  • Tour departments, accommodation options and state-of-the-art campus facilities.
  • Talk with lecturers and students one-on-one.
  • Find out how to apply to UC and what support services are on offer to you.
  • Experience what life as a UC student is really like by taking part in student activities at Open Day.
