It is just over halfway through term 2. In the last week, I have had the opportunity to watch the Nga Maioha Kapa Haka and the Poly group rehearsals. Both groups look fantastic. Our choir is preparing to perform on Thursday in the Big Sing next week.

Attendance

Attendance is becoming a significant concern.  The Ministry of Education's goal is for all students to attend 90%.  Last term we have only 33% of our whole school achieved this goal.  For your daughters to succeed at school, they must attend every day.

Of most significant concern is our Year 13 group.  Only 15% of year 13 are at school four days or more a week.

If we can support you in any way, please make contact.  Hopefully, students will be able to have a good rest over the long weekend.  We want to focus on lifting our attendance for the second half of the term.
