Katrina Kerr-Bell —

We have had a lot of fun over the last week. We all enjoyed phone free Friday and I am sure the students will be looking forward to a sleep in for Friday's Teachers Only Day.

Pedal Ready Day Postponed

Sadly the Pedal Ready day has had to be postponed due to illness, we are hoping that this can be run later in the month.

Last Friday it was fantastic to see so many parents and supporters watching the last Senior Girls Volleyball game of the season which was a final against Wellington Girls College of the Volleyball for Seniors. Even better was St Catherine's won the final 3 sets to 1.

Teacher Only Day

This Friday is a Teacher Only Day. The Ministry of Education has asked that we spend time refining programmes in readiness for the new NCEA Level 1 standards that we will use next year. It will be a good chance for our younger students to catch their breath.

Prizegiving

We have begun preparations for Prizegiving it will be livestreamed. The live stream is set to start Tuesday 5th of December at 7 pm. All students are expected to attend Prizegiving however if you have family living overseas or are unable to attend here is the link -https://youtube.com/live/I56DEzICA1I?feature=share

Second-Hand Uniform

We have a number of families that will be looking to purchase secondhand uniforms, in preparation for the beginning of the 2023 school year

We are asking anyone with surplus school uniforms to bring them to the school Office so that they can be resold. There may be a number of senior students who have blazers, skirts and trousers that are no longer needed. If at all possible, we would like to collect these before this year ends, so that the items are available for resale at a secondhand unifom sale to be held at the end of January, in time for the start of the new school year.

You can either donate the uniform, or we can sell it on your behalf. Proceeds from donations are used to top up our Hardship Fund, to help those that may need financial assistance over all aspects of the college.

Please contact Kandy Hawkins kandy.hawkins@stcatherinescollege.school.nz for any queries.

Let us continue to pray for peace in the world. While we reflect upon the unfathomable violence that is occurring, may we also take time to acknowledge the grace and gifts that we receive in our lives every day. We live in a very special and privileged part of the world.
