Special Character Review

This week we have had Gerard Tully, Mary Cook and Kelly Ross from the ADW as part of the Special Character Review.  It has been an excellent opportunity to share what makes St Catherine's unique and how our students and staff express what it means to be Catholic.  Our focus this year has been on bringing our vision of Mercy and Wisdom to life through the Mercy values of;

  • Te tapu o te tangata (Human dignity) Respecting every person and culture as unique.
  • Te aroha (Compassion)Acting with understanding and sensitivity.
  • Te āwhinatanga (Service) Care for the vulnerable
  • Te tika (Justice) Working together for the common good of all.
  • Manaakitanga (Hospitality)

Through this mission, we hope to bring the example of Jesus in the Gospel to life.

Senior Music Students

On Tuesday evening, the senior Music students performed.  It was a wonderful evening of talent - even the birds flew in to join us.  Year 13 Isla Richards and Joces Tolentino, Year 12 Ella de Jong, Poerangi Heinrich, Janelle Barboza and Angela Roberts.  Hopefully, we can convince them to perform again at the Arts Evening later this term.
