COVID-19 information | Ngā pārongo mō te KOWHEORI-19

Katrina Kerr-Bell —

The Government has removed the COVID-19 Protection Framework and we have moved to a new long-term approach to managing COVID-19.

Mask wearing

Mask wearing is now optional, we recommend that masks are still worn around those who feel vulnerable and if staff/students are feeling unwell but well enough to attend school.  We continue to support those who choose to wear a mask.

Masks will still be available to anyone in our school community as needed.

Household contacts

  • Recommended to test daily for five days
  • Not required to isolate
  • People with COVID-19 must continue to self-isolate for seven days

Household contacts who have COVID-19 symptoms should stay home regardless of the result of their rapid antigen test (RAT).

Protecting those most vulnerable

COVID-19 remains a severe and highly infectious disease and you will continue to have people in your community who are vulnerable to becoming very unwell.
