Dear Students and Parents,

Happy new year! Our busy sports programme is about to begin so please have a think about what you would like to play in Term 1. You may select more than one sport per term, but please consider how much you can commit to and feel free to discuss this with me if need be. We begin another year of sport at St Catherine's College with the first Senior volleyball games coming up in Week 2. Other summer sports offered this term include bowls, cricket, floorball, futsal, touch rugby (Seniors only), ultimate frisbee, and volleyball. Also let Kristina know if you are interested in golf, softball, tennis, e-sports, cycling, water polo and underwater hockey. 

Registration The SCC Sports Booklet 2023 is attached. Parents can register their daughters for Term 1 summer sports as well as netball through the google form link below. The link can also be found in the Sports Booklet, and multiple QR codes (also attached) will be put around school during the first week that will link directly to the registration form. SCC Term 1 Sport & Netball Registration Communication Particularly over the last two years, changes and cancellations to school sport have occurred frequently and at short notice. We will try to give accurate updates as soon as possible. The most up-to-date sport information can usually be accessed through the daily Panui notices and the SCC Notices 2023 Facebook group page. Students playing sport should also check their school emails daily. Coaches and Managers Assistance from parents, caregivers, family and friends in sports teams is welcomed. The St Catherine’s Sports Programme cannot successfully function without volunteer coaches, managers and umpires. Your involvement and help is greatly appreciated. 

Please let the Sport Coordinator (Kristina) know if you can help out - sport@scc.school.nz Fees We do not want sports fees to prevent any student from playing in their chosen sport. Please contact the Principal, Sport Coordinator or Finance Manager for support at any time or to arrange a payment schedule. Any outstanding sports fees from 2022 must be paid or payment arrangements made before playing sport in 2023.
