This Career Mentoring Programme is an opportunity for students interested in a career in trades and construction to meet with a mentor currently working at the renown construction company, LT McGuinness. Sessions are online only.


Introductory Session for Mentees: Wednesday 31st August 3:30-4:30pm

Main Session: Wednesday 7th September 3:30-5pm

There are 8 mentors again for students to choose from;Mentor Titles

Apprentice Carpenter - Georgia Stevenson

Apprentice Carpenter - Ryan Hay
Carpenter to Site Supervisor - LA Moemai
Carpenter to Site Manager - Jacob Monk- Taingahue
Carpenter to Project Manager - Nick Morris

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager - Daniel O’Connor
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer - Molly Puddick
Tower Crane Operator & Crane Dogman / Rigger - Dylan Keene

This Mentoring Programme looks deeper at the career pathways that each of these mentors have gone up in. We have a couple of apprentice carpenters who can educate students about the beginnings of a career at LTM... all the way to a Project Manager who can tell students of the pathway from a carpenter to running and managing one of the large LTM projects in the Wellington Region.
