Katrina Kerr-Bell —

As we journey through the season of Lent, we draw closer to God through our spiritual exercises of fasting, praying and almsgiving. Let us unite as a school and encourage each other.

As the term draws closer to Holy Week, we have much to be thankful for. The Year 13, 11 and 10 students have all had the opportunity to go on Retreat, spending time together as a community and making new friendships whilst learning to let go of past mistakes, just as Jesus has taught us to forgive so that we may be forgiven, “If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you” (Matthew 6:14).

We keep in our prayers the people in the North Island who are still so affected by the devastation caused by Cyclone Gabrielle and the people of Turkey and Syria who have suffered significant losses due to the earthquake. We ask God to provide them with comfort and help.

A reading from the Prophet Isaiah (41:10)Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
