OPEN CASTING CALL FOR NZFC FUNDED SHORT FILM IN WELLINGTON
Looking for WELLINGTON BASED YOUNG ACTORS aged 10 to 16 years for roles in a short film set in Aotearoa suburbia in 1984, about two siblings who use dance as a way to escape the neighbourhood bullies.
Dancing experience is a bonus but not essential. We are looking for a love of dance more than training. If you have both that is okay as well. This film includes themes of Catholicism and explores LGBTTQIA+ identity.
We are looking for four young people to make up our 1980s BMX gang and the two siblings - a younger sister and gender-bending older brother, all aged between 10-16 years.
This NZ Film Commission funded film will be shot in the Wellington Region.
