Five students entered the Our Papatūānuku Environmental Competition at the end of Term Two, and all five received placings. Maia Bouras (Year 12) was placed first in the Year 11 - 13 Multimedia section; Anael La Cruz (Year 12) was placed second in the same section. Molly O'Regan (Year 12) was placed second in the Year 11 - 13 Illustration section; Hannah Stark (Year 9) was placed second in the Year 9 - 10 Illustration section; and Miranda Lerum (Year 10) was placed second in the Year 9 - 10 Graphic Art section. All of their work will be published in a special book that will be presented from New Zealand to the COP27 (UN Climate Change Conference) in Egypt in November 2022.
