Mercy Crew

Jenny O'Brien —

The Mercy Crew were busy last term collecting Easter Eggs. On the last day of school last term, Hannah and Hannah (our special character leaders) filled Mrs O'Brien's car to the brim with chocolate eggs and bunnies. We drove up to the Vincentian Home in Berhampore, and gave out eggs to the elderly residents there. They were very pleased to see us. We also gave some eggs to the Vinnies volunteers in the Newtown Office. A third load of eggs went to the current residents of Ronald McDonald House (16 families there). Our fourth load went to the Women's Refuge office, to deliver to their guests in various locations. All the rest of the eggs and bunnies found their way to the Compassion Soup Kitchen (see pic), where the Hannahs lined up with the homeless people who were getting a hot lunch. The Mercy Crew says a huge thank you to all families who donated to this. The Crew also made some lovely egg boxes and greeting cards to go with the eggs (see pics). This month we will be asking for:

*donations of wool to knit blankets for those in need in the winter*woolly items of clothing*can drive coming soon (non-perishable food items)*our own 'op shop' in school We appreciate your donations and your prayers to support us. Hannah, Hannah, Mrs O'Brien and the whole Mercy Crew
