Katrina Kerr-Bell —

It was an honour to watch our students perform at the Tu Tangata festival last night. Tu Tangata is an important event as it celebrates Pasifika culture. The event was a night of colour, energy, joy, creativity, and culture. It was about Pasifika pride.

Thank you to the whanau, staff and students for all your support and mahi. The performance proved that we are undeterred by current times and the challenges we face. It proved that, as young people, you are resilient and will find ways to overcome obstacles to thrive.

As a community, we are incredibly proud that these students were all assessed for dance and performance NCEA standards during the school holidays. Most of our senior students expect to achieve up to 10 NCEA credits. To our students, you are our inspiration, and we are so proud of you. It was a wonderful celebration of your talents and cultures.
