Tēnā koutou katoa e te whānau

Katrina Kerr-Bell —

As the term progresses the weeks seem to be getting busier. NCEA exams have continued and we have had our students in our prayers.  We have continued to have students impacted by Covid and it has been a blessing we can rely on derived grade marks to send into NZQA for compassionate consideration.

What we have been up to this week:-

  • On Saturday we had a Fanau Fun Day with the Pasifika Asosi.
  • Monday our Year 10 students enjoyed an EOTC day in Upper Hutt.
  • Wednesday we welcomed Megan Cassidy from Education Review Office, Megan will be working with St Catherine's College and following our journey over the next 18 months.
  • Thursday we were delighted to host the new enrolments for 2023 who were sitting the Ryan Family St Maria scholarship exam.

Phones away and enjoying being present

We are encouraging our students to get off their phones and be present with each other.  It has been encouraging seeing skipping ropes, balls and a wide variety of activities going on.  We have been blessed with beautiful weather so we encourage students to bring a hat to school.

Transition Day - Thursday 24th November

On Thursday 24th November we have our Year 8 students enrolled for 2023 join us for the day.  Enrollments for 2023 are still welcome.

Touch Tournament

The Junior Touch team have been out today at a tournament.  Check out the videos below of them enjoying their day.

Reflection

May God the Father bless us; may Christ take care of us; the Holy Ghost enlighten us all the days of our life. The Lord be our defender and keeper of body and soul, both now and forever, to the ages of ages.

Amen.

As the days seem to get busier may we think of the day ahead in terms of God with us, and visualize health, strength, guidance, purity, calm confidence, and victory as the gifts of His presence.
