Tēnā koutou katoa e te whānau

Katrina Kerr-Bell —

Atawhai ki uta,
Atawhai ki tai.
Kia horahorahia ki te rito o te Ao Marama.

May mercy be felt inland,
may mercy be felt on the shore.
May mercy be widespread,
living in the heart of our world today.

On this Mercy day, we remember the many who have carried and shared the gift of Mercy.

Ka nui te mihi aroha ki a koutou.
Atawhaitia!

Today I enjoyed spending time out at the Year 11 Retreat.  The focus was on being real and present.  The students engaged and it was a pleasure to work with them.  A huge thank you to Mrs O'Brien and Lavina for organising this special day.

Tomorrow we celebrate Mercy Day.  It is a great opportunity for our college to reflect on the gift of the mahi of the Sisters of Mercy.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this term.  I am aware that the staff and students are tired and have worked very hard this term.  There are tutorials running throughout the holidays and I encourage years 11-13 to make the most of these opportunities.  These tutorials are an excellent way to study.

I pray that all the students and staff have a safe and happy holiday.
