Calendar Art

Bev Sutherland —

The St Francis PTA is running a calendar fundraiser using the art of your children.

The Kakano Hub calendar art was inspired by their recent work on outer space. Students used chalk pastels and stencils to form their planets, with a touch of flicked paint giving the impression of stars, using their individual faces on an astronaut image.

The Paiaka Hub students have created cityscapes inspired by the bright and patterned art of Heather Galler.

The Tumu art showcases an icon or symbol that represents the student inspired by the style of cubism.

The Kaupeka Hub calendar art was inspired by the Chameleon, symbolizing stability, patience, determination, perception, curiosity, fearlessness and resourcefulness thus emphasizing aspects of a growth mindset. A fascinating creature, known for its ability to change colour, highlighting life’s inconsistencies and the importance of being adaptable.

These artworks are able to be ordered as calendars, notebooks, diaries or mousepads and make great gifts especially with Christmas coming up. Your child is bringing home a leaflet today that has the school code and your child’s code number on it for ordering online. Go on to the website kidartworks and log in with your child's individual code to view your child’s art.  You are able to order and pay online. Examples of the products are in the school office. You are also able to upload photos for use on the products.

Any difficulties please ask at school.

Thank you for your support
