From the Principal

Jo Earl —

We have had a fantastic term! There is so much for us to be grateful for. There has been so many learning opportunities for our tamariki. Thanks so much to all our kaiako for the work you do to create amazing learning opportunities at our kura.

Kākano Assembly

I was super impressed to hear some of the tamariki from Kākano share their mihi with confidence at Assembly today. It was also great to see our young tamariki step up and lead us in prayer and share some of their learning. Fantastic job kaiako and tamariki - thank you!

Welcome Mass

Today we celebrated Mass together to welcome all the new tamariki and whānau that started with us this term. It was a wonderful Mass celebrated by Fr Thanh. Our tamariki sang beautifully and we were very proud of them once again. It was a lovely way to end the term.

Easter Raffle

Thanks so much everyone for your support of the raffle. We have managed to pay for the buses for both the Tumu and Kaupeka camps ($3000) buses for swimming for the whole school ($6000) and $2000 worth of books for the Library. This is nothing short of amazing! Well done whānau.

Cross Country

What a fabulous day we had on Wednesday this week at Walter Park. We were blessed with fantastic weather - thanks so much to everyone who was able to come and support us.

Our tamariki were amazing as usual with everyone giving it their best. We very proud of their efforts and behaviour. The senior students who showed such great manaaki for our young ones are to be commended. We are very proud of our student leaders.

Thanks so much to Maree Scott and Rebecca Henderson for their superb organisation once again -

Manaiakalani

From time to time I am reminded just how fortunate we are to be part of the Manaiakalani whānau. We joined this whānau four years ago and in this time students and teachers have had some amazing opportunities.

Our journey with Learn, Create Share has allowed for our students to be more connected, for teaching and learning to be more visible and available 24/7.

You will have been able to see some of the fruits of this at the Learning Showcases this week. It was great for the tamariki to have their whānau come into the Hub and see the learning that has been taking place. Thanks so much to all who were able to come and join us. We have had some amazing feedback from those that were here.

We hope you all enjoy the break in the school routine during the holiday period. Check out the Autumn Learning Journey if you are looking for things for your children to do.

Noho ora mai (Stay well)
