Jo Earl —

What a fantastic first day of Term 2! Overall we have had 200+ students connect with their teachers online!

We are really happy with our first day of school - the number of Year 5-8 students who were independently managing themselves this morning was fantastic. Well done to the Kaupeka and Tumu teams!

Our Paiaka team - very quick learners - also managing their own microphones and cameras after a little help - well done!

It was great to sit in on the four meets for Kākano and see our Year 1/2 students as well. Also how wonderful to see Olivia G on her first day of school - this will be something she will be able to tell her children about one day for sure!

We are also aware that some people were not able to access the meets today and that is just fine. Please email your child's home base teacher if you have any issues you think we can help with.

Yesterday we couriered out some Chromebooks to those in Year 3-8 who indicated in the survey last week that they did not have a device for their child to use to access the learning.

We have also indicated to the Ministry of Education that our Year 1-3 students should receive a Hard Copy Learning Package - I am not sure when this will arrive as they are concentrating on NCEA students first but we are logged in the system.

Our next step is to work on ensuring all our Year 1/2 students can access the sites. Thank you so much for your patience.

Any queries please email us and we will get back to you as soon as we can. You can also book in for a session on Friday if you need help just add your name to the list on this form.

Shout out to our teachers who have absolutely outdone themselves today - let the learning continue!
