The Board held their November meeting last night. Here are some snippets from the meeting.

2021 Term Dates

We approved the 2021 Dates and are happy to share these with you now. 

Please note the inclusion of two Teacher only Days highlighted in yellow.

All schools and kura have been allocated eight additional teacher only days to use between now and the end of 2022. These eight days will not extend the school year. By the end of 2021 we will used four of these leaving us some to use at the beginning of and during 2022.

We will insure these dates are placed on the calendar very soon.

2021 Organisation

We are please to congratulate Rebecca Henderson on securing a permanent job at our school. Rebecca has been with us for a couple of years now and we are excited to be able to offer this position to her.

We also congratulate Katie Clark for securing a permanent position in the latest appointment round. Katie has been with us for a couple of years also working in the Junior hub - we are excited to be able to offer her a permanent position.

We have appointed a new staff member who will be working with our team next year in the Kaupeka Hub. We are excited to welcome Helen Newbould to our team. Helen is an experienced teacher who has worked at Hobsonville Point Primary and for the last two years has been working at Ross Intermediate. We know you will make her very welcome.

We are lucky to have enough funding next year to be able to offer positions to Olivia Gill and Melissa Lover as well - we are delighted that they will both be staying with us in 2021.

We wish Angela Shea and Marielle Brown all the best. Angela has accepted a job at Burnham Primary School and will be sorely missed from our Junior team. Angela has been working with us for the last four years. We want to thank her for all her efforts.

Marielle is leaving us to teach at Parkview School in 2021. Although she has been with us just this last two terms - We know that she will missed greatly in our Junior team.
