Jo Earl —

That's a wrap! What a busy - but fantastic term we have had!

During the term, during our assemblies I have been really amazed at the work your children have been doing. We have had some amazing learning showcases over this last week where they have shared their learning with their peers and their whanau - thanks to all who were able to come and support us at these events. The Kākano Learning Showcase photos are attached.

The Paiaka Learning Showcase video is on the school facebook page.

Science Roadshow

Today as a culmination of our Science based Project Based Learning we hosted the Science Roadshow. All our Year 3 -8 students had the opportunity to visit the show and interact with the displays.  This was a fantastic finish to our term and was clearly enjoyed by all.

2023 Organisation

It's hard to believe but it is the time of year where we are working on the organisation of the Hubs for 2023.

If you know that your child/children won't be attending St Francis in 2023 it would be so helpful if you could let us know.

If you have a child who will be attending St Francis and you are yet to complete an enrolment form - please go to the website and submit and electronic enrolment form.

This will help us work out how much staffing we need for 2023.

New Entrance on Innes Rd

We have fabulous plans for a new entrance way on the land where the church used to be. Thanks so much to the Parish for gifting us this piece of land!

You can see from the picture above that the intent is a beautiful park-like entrance way. Work will be starting on this in the October holidays - obviously there is going to be some disruption to the Innes Rd pick up/ drop off area - again! We are working on an alternate solution for the entrance and will keep you informed as to what the changes are as soon as we can.

Summer Uniform

When we return it is time for Summer Uniforms again. Please name all pieces of uniform - it is very hard to return lost property unless you do this.

Please remember - In Terms 1 and 4 it is a requirement that your child/children wear a hat when outside. This is school policy and we will be ensuring that it is followed. Children without a hat will be restricted to shaded areas.

Athletics - Save the date

Our full school athletics will be held on Tuesday 25 October. More details to follow.
