Jo Earl —

The end of term has come around really fast. We had a fabulous fun day today to finish the term.

Next term starts on Monday 18 October - this has been initially advertised as a Teacher Only Day however because of all the disruptions we have had this year, we have decided to postpone this until early next year.

Term 4 is only 8.5 weeks so keep an eye on the calendar - we'll keep it updated for you.

Athletics Day

We always look forward to Athletics Day in Term 4 however this year we are going to have to think about this differently. Under Alert Level 2 guidelines from the Ministry of Education we are unable to hold a whole school event and have spectators - because if we did this we would definitely have more than 100 people attending.

We have made an early decision to cancel the Athletics Day that we had planned and to hold each event for the senior students at school throughout the first two weeks. Parents will not be able to attend - and we are really sorry about this as we love having this day together.

The Paiaka and Kākano Hubs will continue practising Athletic skills and we will make a decision on an event next term when we see what level we are in.

2022 Organisation

We are currently working on organisation for 2022. It would be really helpful if you know that your child will be leaving our school, if you could let us know.

The Ministry use the number of projected students to calculate staffing for the school so it really does make a difference for us to know and be planned for this.

Also should you know of anyone that wants to enrol at our school please encourage them to complete the enrolment form on the website. This can be accessed from the front page of the website.

Health Consultation

Every two years we are required to consult on our Health programmes.

Please take the time to read the article on this in our newsletter - there is a form to complete should you wish to give us some feedback.

Hope you all have a good rest away from the school routine - I know that it brings challenges as well especially when you are still working!

Kia pai ō rā whakatā
