Nā te Tumuaki

Jo Earl —

Kia ora whānau - Ko te wiki ō te reo Māori. Kua kōrero tātou ki te reo Māori ia rā, ia rā.

It is Māori Language Week. We have been speaking Te Reo Māori everyday! Kia kaha te reo Māori! Karawhuia (Give it a go!).

I am really impressed with the level of Te Reo our students are speaking - encourage them to give it a go at home as well.

Teacher Only Day Postponed

We have had a Teacher Only Day planned for Monday 18 October - this is one of the 8 days that the Ministry of Education gave teachers in the last settlement.

In light of the disruption we have already had this term - we have decided to postpone this day and use it later to unpack the NZ Histories Curriculum. We hope that this will make it easier for you all at this time.

Athletic Sports Tuesday 19 October

Please make sure you Have this date on your calendar. This event will involve all students in our school. More information will come out soon - mark your diaries now!

School Photos Wednesday 20 October

School photos will be taken on this date. Mark your calendars.

Science Roadshow Thursday 21 October

We are excited to host the Science Roadshow at our school on Thursday 21 October - this will be a great launch for the science focus in each hub for Term 4.

A visit to the Science Roadshow is a fun, exciting and interactive learning experience of science for children. It includes live shows and hands-on exhibits that broaden students knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It strongly supports the Nature of Science strand and the Five Foundational Science Capabilities.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend.

Mā te Atua koutou, e manaaki.

God Bless

Jo
