We are thrilled to see there are a lot of children biking to school this year.

Unfortunately we have already had a couple of complaints and we have also witnessed some poor decision making by some of our students.

Please remind your children of the road rules that need to be followed if they wish to bike to school.

Some of our students are choosing to use the footpath instead of the road and we can understand why; Innes Rd is very busy. However it is not ok to bike on the footpath - if they use the footpath they must walk their bikes especially close to our school and Mairehau Primary where there are many parents walking with their children.

If we keep having issues with this we will contact those individuals' parents and ask that they do not bike to school as this is a safety issue.
