PBL Term 2

Ellen Scott —

This term each hub has a driving question about how we can speak up or use our voice to help our planet.

In the Kakano hub their question is: How can we use our voice to protect our environment? The students will learn to use their voice and actions to care for the environment. In Paiaka their question is : How can I use my voice to affect change to save native animals in New Zealand? The benefits the Paiaka hub will get is to get given the skills to make a change in NZ. In the Tumu Hub their question is : How can we use our voice to affect change in order to protect are environment. The big message the teachers in Tumu want to share is that, the kids can actually make a change in the environment that we live in! In Kaupeka our question is: How can we speak up against discrimination? This broadens the minds of the students about discrimination and is showing them something that they probably have never heard about before. All of the Hubs' questions are tied around how can we use our voice to change something that really affects us and the world and no matter how small or how big everyone can make a change.
