Clare and Heidi have an update for you ...

Fair Planning is well underway. Make sure you mark it on your calendar for 8th March 2020. Lots of people said it is so far away but lots needs to be done so far out. When we return to school after the summer break it will only be 5 weeks until the fair. We would like to get lots organised before it gets too close to Christmas.

Building ConnectionsOne of the key goals of the fair is to build strong connections in our school community. I have very fond childhood memories of my parents running the candy floss machine at the school fairs. The people they worked with are still their friends today.

If you have spoken to Heidi or Clare it would be great if you could put it on paper so we have your details. If you are not sure how you can help you will be invited through your child Hub.We really want this Fair to be about many people doing a little bit - a whole school community project.
What will be happening next?Next week every family will get a letter about sponsorship. Sponsorship is key to the success of the fair. We would like to cover all expenses with sponsorship donations so we need money and vouchers to purchase what we need. Sponsorship could also come in the form of products that could go in our silent auction and raffles. We would love some big ticket items including a bike and a weekend away. When the sponsorship letter comes home, if you have a business it would be great if you could consider the request. If you do not have your own business we invite you to ask a friend or your workplace to sponsor. If you would like some ideas of sponsorship please contact us.
In the next fair newsletter we will have a calendar and timeline of what is happening and when donations will be called for. You will have seen White Elephant posters around the school now. But after the school holidays we will make a big drive for White Elephant, books and clothes. Make a date in the holidays to clean out the kids' rooms. Save the dateWe are having a fair meeting on Monday 23rd September 7pm in the staffroom for anyone who has put their name down for a stall and anyone else willing to help. We will not be having lots of meetings but we give you an outline for your area. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting.
