Enrolments for 2023

We are currently working on numbers and staffing for 2023. It is really helpful to know about upcoming enrolments. If you ahvent got around to enrolling your preschoolers please complete an online enrolment form. It is also helpful to know if your child will be attending another school in 2023. You can let us know by popping into the office or sending an email to principal@stfrancischch.school.nz.

Innes Rd Entrance

You will have noticed a temporary entranceway has been made for pedestrians cutting through the empty sections. Thanks to Mike Greer for allowing us this access while our new entranceway is being constructed.

Thanks also for your consideration in not using the driveway to walk in and also not coming up the driveway with your cars. It can get very congested up the driveway and very dangerous for our children when cars are reversing in this tight space. We are very grateful for your support with this.

Norah St Entrance

This week we have had a couple of complaints from our neighbours about the parking in Norah St. We encourage you to park in Francis Ave and walk to the entrance to pick up and drop off.

We know that there are no yellow lines and no council signs to support this kaupapa but we want to be courteous to our neighbours  and at the same time keep our students safe.

Walking an extra 100 metres to pick your children up is a small way to show gratitude to our neighbours who keep a watchful eye over our school grounds. Thank you for your consideration.

Hazards in the Playground

Daily checks are made of our playground to ensure that all equipment and playground areas are safe for our students. When hazards are found they are either eliminated or cordoned off until they can be fixed. If you notice anything i the playground that concerns you or you think is possibly unsafe please make sure you let us know by calling into the office and asking Bev to enter it into the Hazard Book so that we can fix the problem asap. Help us keep our playground safe!

Jump Jam

Our Year 7/8 Jump Jam team is competing this weekend - we can't wait to see this performance. Go well! - you have worked hard. Enjoy the day!

Choir @ Music Festival

Our choir has been working hard to learn the songs for the music Festival. Their performance is tonight and we wish them well for this! Looking forward to hearing some beautiful melodies.

Orchestra

We are also very proud of Lucy Blackburn who was selected for the Orchestra for the Music Festival this year. This is an amazing achievement. Lucy has participated in the orchestra each night of the festival and we wish her well for the last night tonight. Well done Lucy!
