Changes in the Paiaka Hub

Jo Earl —

Moving to the new Hub has been such a good idea this term.

The students have a lot more room to spread out and lots of different spaces to explore.

We have had several visitors over the last three weeks and they have all mentioned how settled and calm the Hub is when we go in there.

We are farewelling Emily Dyer this week. She is leaving us for adventures overseas - we are, and I know you will be really sad to see her go. Emily has a real heart for the children in Paiaka and has worked tirelessly to set the children up for success in the Hub. Emily - we wish you well for you time in China and we hope to see you back here at St Francis in the future.

Katrina Jennings will take over Emily's role for Term 4. Katrina has been working in the Hub this term as well. She has been working alongside Emily over the last couple of weeks and so already knows all of the children and has a good understanding of their current achievement levels.

We hope you all enjoy the break away from the school routine over the next two weeks.
