Have your say...

Maire Bowler —

You may be aware of the CCC's most recent consultation document 'Transport Projects In Our Area' dealing with the downstream effects of the Northern Arterial Extension motorway, being consulted on until 19th Aug?

The St Albans Residents Association (SARA) is pleased to see some considerations has been given to cycling and local businesses, however the safety and health of our lives and those of our children will be severely compromised unless traffic is reduced. CCC staff and elected representatives agree with this conclusion, but require a strong mandate from us to implement real solutions to reduce traffic.

If you agree that we need to reduce the amount of commuter traffic, in particular 'single occupancy vehicles', please individually make a submission stating your views or state SARA’s position which is;

"We do NOT support the planned transport projects for St Albans and surrounding areas without the assurance that traffic volume will be reduced before the opening of the Northern Arterial Extension". (Put this in the 1st box on the submission form 'Cranford St and Sherborne St upgrades'

Submissions can be made here - https://ccc.govt.nz/the-council/consultations-and-submissions/haveyoursay/show/257
