Let's get started...

Jo Earl —

Thanks to everyone who made themselves available for the Getting Connected Meetings - it was great to see the school start to come alive with students again.

Hopefully you have all read the Life at Red at St Francis document we sent out last week. This document is being updated each day as we get more instructions from the Ministry of Education. As we update it we will resend it and highlight the changes so that you can keep abreast of them.

Access to the School Site

We have had a temporary pathway installed out the front for students to use. It leads to the pedestrian gate in front of the office. Tomorrow we will have cones out to show the new entranceway - please encourage your children to use it. The driveway will be blocked off and monitored.

  - No cars can come up the driveway unless you have a mobility ticket displayed.

- No pedestrians using the driveway

A reminder that there are two other entranceways - Kensington Ave and Norah St.

Pick up and Drop off

From next Tuesday we are encouraging you to only come onsite if you need to. No parents will be able to come into the Hubs at this stage. We are not saying you can't come onsite - but we are encouraging you not to. The reason for this is we need to keep our staff as healthy as possible and therefore reduce the number of exposures if we can.

We will be sending out a separate communication to parents of Kākano students to find out which gate you would like your children to be taken to. We will be staggering times so that we lessen congestion at the gate so it may be that your children don't get to the gate until 3.10pm - please be patient with us.

Thursday Morning

We are going to begin the day with a real party atmosphere - however we will be socially distancing and wearing masks. Parents are welcome onsite Thursday and Friday. Please be respectful of social distancing, scan in and wear a mask and don't enter the Hubs unless absolutely necessary.
