What do I do should my child test positive for Covid-19?

Jo Earl —

(email sent out earlier this week)

To date we have had over 50 students test positive for Covid. The students are in all areas of the school. Some of these students have recovered and are back at school and some are still isolating. We also still have had a large number of students isolating as household contacts.

I really want to thank all of you for what you are doing to slow the spread of Covid throughout our school community.

We have several students and families who have underlying medical conditions and who would be very compromised should they test postive for Covid. Because of this I just want to again share the procedures for isolating should your child or someone in your home test positive. It is really important to ensure that your children do stay away from school for at least 7 days should they test positive and that they don't come back to school until they are no longer symptomatic.

I have found this link and the graphics attached to this email to be very clear and very helpful.

What do I do if my child tests positive for COVID-19?

Thanks again everyone - we appreciate your support - hopefully we will be through the worst of this soon.

Ngā mihi
