As we start St Francis' 4th year, it means the 3 year terms of the Elected members of the Boards of Trustees is drawing to an end.

 Elections are due to be held on Friday 7 June for the 4 elected members of the Board. As a school we have been blessed with very able people supporting the school in this area, and we would like this to continue. 

So if you see yourself as having skills to offer in the areas of Governance or Financial oversight of a School, or are curious about what is involved, there is some information available on the school website as linked below,  plus the opportunity for some sessions run by NZ School Trustee Association.

Also speaking to myself or any of the other members of the Board of Trustees (see names on the website) is a useful way to get an understanding of what is involved. Finally, as with all Board meetings they are open to the public so you are most welcome to attend and see first hand what happens at a meeting. 

For those that are successful in the elections there is a range of training available to enable successful integration into being on a school board of Trustees.
