Nā te Tumuaki

Jo Earl —

Over the last three weeks as you are all aware we have been plagued with absences from staff and students. Thank you all so much for following the correct procedures for isolating whether it has been your children or yourselves that have been sick.

I emailed out some good graphics earlier this week and have included them in this newsletter as well to help you decide what you need to do depending on whether your children have tested positive or are isolating as household contacts.

If at anytime you are not sure please feel free to call the office and we can help you.

Teacher Only Day May 2 2022

The end of the term is coming fast. We want to remind you that there is a Teacher Only Day on May 2 which would be the first day back after the holidays. The teachers will be using this day to upskill in the area of Mathematics.

There is another teacher only day planned on Friday 3 June - we will remind you closer to the time but you might want to forward plan this one as it will give you a four day weekend on Queen's Birthday Weekend. The teachers will be working on delving into the NZ Histories Curriculum.

Change to Covid Settings

We are looking forward to welcoming you all back on site very soon. The changes that were announced by the Prime Minister this week mean that we can start to think about changing the settings at school from Monday 4 April. We are just waiting to hear from the Ministry of Education as to what settings we can ease and which ones (e.g. mask wearing) will need to continue.

We will let you know as soon as possible - we are very much looking forward to welcoming you back on site.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Noho ora mai (stay well), Mā te Atua koutou e manaaki (God bless)
