A Special Place in our Community

Rebecca Methven —

For our easTTle writing, the year 2 - 6 students were given the following task - " Think about the places that are special to your community. Choose one of these places. Write to explain to your reader why this place is special." We want to share with you this beautiful piece written by Bronson Brown, which captures the Special Character of our school.

A very special place in the community is the Church because people can pray and connect to God. I think that the Church is an amazing place to worship and love our wonderful God.

At a Church people don’t just pray, a Church can form new friendships and relationships. You can also confess your sins and ask for forgiveness. A Church is not just a place to pray or ask for forgiveness from God, it is also a great place for learning and education about Jesus, God and other Bible stories.

You can go to church on some days but mostly they will be open on Sundays or if there are special events like Ash Wednesday or Easter.

At a Church you can be baptised and be with God then you can have Reconciliation and have the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ who sacrificed his life for us.

People come together to worship God and pray. I think the Church is a great place in our community.
