House of Bricks

Jo Earl —

The Tumu and Kaupeka Hubs were fortunate enough to have House of Bricks visit them today.

The students had to use their imagination, work collaboratively and creatively to interpret the challenges presented to them. They had to create a number of different objects, ranging from race cars, towers and mosaics, all out of Lego. A highlight of the day was seeing the high level of engagement and perseverance from all the children.

Here is some feedback from the children about the day.

“I liked creating with Lego and using my imagination.” Beth

“My favourite task was the mosaic task because there are endless ideas and everyone can make a different image.” Lauren

I really enjoyed making the race cars because it was so fun to test the car and then make changes to make the car go further.” Max
