Holy Week

St Francis of Assisi Staff —

As Catholics, in Holy Week we are learning about the events of the first Holy Week. We are not celebrating the fact that the Son of God suffered and died. Rather we are remembering and honouring Jesus’ sacrifice, accompanying him spiritually and physically...Holy Week for all Christians is a time to recall the life of Jesus and observe the anniversary of the last days of Jesus’ life on earth—his passion, death, and resurrection. (Yr 4,RE Curriculum Teachers Notes )

This week would normally see our students learning about the symbols, rituals and stories that are part of Holy Week and Easter. This learning would be accompanied by school and parish liturgies. We have put together a collection of resources to help families share, learn and pray together.

We wish you all a happy, safe and Holy Easter.
