Enrolment
Thank you for considering St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School for your child’s education.
Starting school is an exciting time for both children and families.
When enrolling a child, parents or caregivers are required to complete and submit the online enrolment form. However, if you prefer to complete a hard copy enrolment form, please contact us for further information.
For preference students, parents or caregivers must obtain a Preference of Enrolment Certificate signed by the Parish Priest of their Parish. Click here to head to our Parish website to find out how to obtain a preference certificate.
As part of the Enrolment process, you will need to bring with you to an interview, copies of your child’s:
- New Zealand Birth Certificate (Preferred document of identification) or Passport
- Passport showing current residency status (if not born in NZ)
- Preference of Enrolment Certificate by your Parish Priest (for Preference Enrolments)
- Your child’s immunisation certificate
The process for enrolling at our school is:
- Complete the online enrolment form.
- Our admin team will contact you to talk you through the other requirements as listed above and make an appointment for you to meet with our Tumuaki, Jo Earl.
- Our new entrant children start in cohorts on with Week 1 or Week 6 of every term. Your child can start on the next cohort starting date after they turn five.
We will contact you to organise school visits prior to your child's starting date.
Please feel free to contact our Admin team should you have any questions.
Non-preference Enrolment
Children who are not Catholic are welcomed into our school community, depending on places available (as we are only allowed 5% of our maximum roll for non-preference children).
Follow the steps above to enrol your child. Our admin team will contact you and talk you through the next steps for your child's enrolment.
