Whānau Assisi News

Whānau Assisi —

Whānau Assisi is our group of teachers and parents that work together to support the work of the Board and the life of the school.

We are always keen to have new members join us. We have three main branches of work.

Connect - this group of people work to ensure that our parents are connected. We are working hard to promote a sense of belonging - and this has been made very hard this year especially with parents having been restricted from bering onsite. We look forward to  reinstating the coffee mornings and many more opportunities to connect as well.

Serve - this sub group work together to ensure the needs in our school community are met. This may mean visits to others, food parcels, organising help with transport to school and much more.

Fund - thanks to this sub group our Easter Raffle has got off the ground again this year. We will let you know how much money was raised next week after draw the raffle on Monday! We have 25 prizes to draw. Thanks for all you support!

News

At our meeting a couple of weeks ago we were able to donate $3000 towards library books and also purchase some new equipment for the playground. We have purchased two Magic Playboxes for the playground. This is a collection of loose parts for unstructured play - the children are going to love it! Check out this link if you want to know more.
