Jo Earl —

We are really happy to be in Level 1 and welcoming parents back on site. We have missed you!

Mass - Celebrating Our Feast Day

St Francis of Assisi's Feast day (October 4) always falls in the third term school holidays - it was great to be able to celebrate it early today with a wonderful Mass. Thanks to those of you who were able to join us. For the rest of the day students participated in activities organised by our Year 8 Cultural Leaders. Each activity celebrated one of the many cultures that are represented in our whānau.

Teacher Only Day - Friday October 16

Just a reminder that we are having a Teacher Only Day on the first Friday back next term. Please make sure you make arrangements for your children as there will be no staff onsite that morning. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Athletics Tuesday 13 October

We will be holding our Athletics Day on the first Tuesday back next term. There will be more information sent home about this closer to the time.

School Photos - Wednesday 14 October

School photos will be taken on this date - please ensure your children are in the correct school uniform. Information has already been sent home.

School Hats

A reminder that school hats are compulsory next term. Please make sure your child has a named hat. Children who do not have a named hat will be made to sit in a set shaded area. This is part of our sun-smart policy. Thanks for your support!

Parking

While we know the road works cause frustration in that there is nowhere to park on Innes Rd - this does not change the rules about coming up the driveway or parking on yellow lines.

Please:

- Do not come up the driveway in your car at any time (unless you are picking up an injured or sick child).

- Do not park on the yellow lines at any time.

- Slow down and stop at the pedestrian crossing - the road code is clear - you should be stopping anyway whether the crossing is being patrolled or not.

These rules are for the safety of the children and we will be enforcing them as much as we can next term.

Holiday Break

Hope you all enjoy the change to routine. Look forward to seeing you on October 12th.
