Hopes and Dreams for our Tamariki

Our Te Maire St Francis of Assisi Catholic school community is moving into the exciting phase of reviewing our current Strategic Plan and planning for the next three year phase.
    by Jo Earl

The first step is to review our vision and think again about what we want for our tamariki (children) over the next three years, and what skills, knowledge and character traits we want our tamariki to leave our school with by the end of Year 8.

This is not a thing that the Board of Trustees or the leadership team of the school has sole responsibility for. As a school we value Kotahitanga (the concept of togetherness), therefore all members of the community have a voice in this process. We want everyone to be involved and to feel like they have contributed to the direction our school will take.

This is an opportunity for you to share what you think - we want to know about your hopes and dreams for your tamariki. Feedback from our whānau is essential for us to be able to focus the next three year strategic plan on the things most important to you and your tamariki.

We have asked your tamariki (Year 3-8) to bring these 9 questions home, have a conversation with you and record your ideas for us.

For those that have Year 1-2 tamariki we have sent the questions home for you to complete.

All feedback is anonymous, no names will be recorded. For every sheet that is returned, the whanau will go into the draw to win a family meal voucher ($150).

Ngā mihi nui
