Dogs at school

Congratulations to our Whistlers!

On Sunday 11th August the Christchurch Netball Centre held their junior umpire awards. Annabelle Brown (1st year) earned her bronze and silver awards. Hannah Swain (2nd year) earned her gold and platinum awards and also received the cup for most promising platinum umpire. Hannah and Annabelle are the only students from St Francis in this programme.

This week’s Stem activity was the Marshmallow Challenge.

The Kākano students were given 20 minutes to construct a tower as high as possible using only spaghetti and marshmallows. The tallest tower still standing unassisted wins. They had great results and enjoyed eating the marshmallows after.
