Whānau Assisi PTA Newsletter

Great to see so many families at the picnic a few weeks ago. We look forward to more community events this year.

We had our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, it was great to see so many faces. Our next meeting is Tuesday 14th March @7.00pm.

Some highlights from the meeting:

PTA funds, committed this year (more to follow):

  • Buses for the year five, six, seven and eight school camps.

  • $10 per student subsidy for next term’s swimming lessons.

  • $3,000 for additional books for the library.

Save the Date:

  • Lunchtime sausage sizzle – Wednesday 8th March, profits will be donated to a Cyclone Gabrielle charity.

  • Coffee Connect- Friday 10th March, coffees on the PTA. (TBC pending volunteer barista)

  • Wine and Cheese Evening- Friday 31st March 2023, more details to follow. A great way to meet new families and connect with others in the school community.

Fundraiser Term One:

  • Easter Raffle is back, the school will be in touch with the finer details. Are you a business wanting to donate additional prizes? Please let Bev in the office know.

Volunteers needed:

  • We would love to make Coffee Connect a regular Friday morning thing and are looking for some amazing baristas to assist.

  • The sausage sizzles last year were such a success, the kids loved them, the parents loved them, and we were able to donate over $900.00 worth of supermarket products to St Vincent de Paul at Christmas. Can you help this term? We are looking for parents or caregivers, so we can start a roster.

  • Event coordinators, fancy yourself a party planner? We are keen to get some additional parent support to help with our wine and cheese night.
