Kākano Hub has been enjoying many Antarctica inspired activities in Learning Through Play this week.

by Rebecca Methven

These include making penguin puppets, looking at icebergs, adding milk bottle layers to our ice hut and creating penguin habitats with snow dough. Mrs Ferguson has been making fossils from playdough moulds and Plaster of Paris. The children have also been measuring themselves and comparing their height to the height of the 7 types of penguins in Antarctica. Harry worked out that he is the same height as an Emperor Penguin!
