Last Friday, the St Joseph's School Choir sang as part of the massed choir at the Christchurch Schools' Music Festival.

The Music Festival is an amazing event that takes place over four nights every year. Every night, different schools make up the massed choir, while children from many schools audition for 2 choirs, a concert band and an orchestra, which perform every evening. The St Joseph's Choir sang on Friday night.

During the evening, the choir members sang beautifully, contributing to the amazing sound of nearly 1000 singers! It was awesome to hear them accompanied by the concert band, orchestra and pipe organ, and to see them performing in such a beautiful space. At times it was hard to believe that all the singers and musicians were all still at Primary or Intermediate School.
