Board Update on the Uniform Review
Over the last few months, the School Board has reviewed the school uniform. This review was initiated in response to feedback from students. During the review, the Board sought feedback from parents and considered a Report from the Human Rights Commission on School Uniforms.
The board have endeavoured to update the uniform so it is more practical for the day-to-day life of a school in the 21st century.
Although parents and students wanted a practical uniform, feedback from parents was strongly in favour of retaining a formal uniform.
Cost was an issue looked at in depth by the board. As a result, to proposed uniform update is cost neutral for the boys and cheaper for the girls.
For full details relating to the proposed uniform update, please read the document attached. This document also provides details on how you can provide the board with feedback on the proposed uniform update.
